Refund Policy
Refund Policy – Winterson Ceremonies
Winterson Ceremonies is committed to delivering a high‑quality, personalised service for every ceremony. To ensure transparency and fairness for all clients, the following refund policy applies to all bookings.
1. Booking Fee
-
A non‑refundable booking fee is required to secure your ceremony date and time.
-
This fee covers initial administration, consultation, and the reservation of the celebrant’s availability.
2. Client Cancellations
-
More than 60 days before the ceremony: All payments made, excluding the non‑refundable booking fee, will be refunded in full.
-
30–60 days before the ceremony: A 50% refund of the remaining balance will be issued.
-
Less than 30 days before the ceremony: No refund will be provided, as significant preparation and script development will have commenced.
3. Work Already Completed
Where substantial work has been undertaken prior to cancellation—such as ceremony script writing, planning meetings, or vow assistance—Winterson Ceremonies reserves the right to deduct reasonable fees for work completed, regardless of the cancellation timeframe.
4. Celebrant Cancellations
In the unlikely event that Winterson Ceremonies must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances:
-
A full refund will be issued, including the booking fee.
-
Every effort will be made to assist in sourcing an alternative celebrant.
5. Date Changes
-
One date change may be accommodated without charge, subject to availability.
-
Additional changes or moves to peak‑season dates may incur an administrative fee.
6. External Factors
Winterson Ceremonies cannot offer refunds for cancellations caused by:
-
Venue issues
-
Weather conditions
-
Third‑party supplier failures If the ceremony can be relocated or rescheduled on the same day, the celebrant will make all reasonable efforts to proceed.
7. Compassionate Circumstances
For funerals or unexpected life events, Winterson Ceremonies will take a compassionate and flexible approach. Refunds or adjustments may be offered at the celebrant’s discretion.
